M.A.T. Education (PRIVATE)

This is a private event held for DMHA and will not be open for public registration
This three-day interactive training provides participants with a detailed understanding of medication used to assist with substance use disorders.
35 hours of distance (on-line) learning is a component of this course that is provided with admission purchase. It is highly encouraged this distance learning be completed prior to the ‘live’ training. Information on how to begin the distance learning will be e-mailed to the participant within 2-weeks of registration. Be sure to watch for this to be sent to your registration email as your email system may place it in your junk/spam when it is received.
Learning Objectives:
- Become familiar with the primary medications associated with the treatment of substance use disorder
- Develop an understanding of the role that medication can play in an individual’s recovery process from substance use disorder
- Increase ability to use treatment matching principles for individuals in recovery from substance use disorders
- Become familiar with a variety of recovery supports available to individuals’ entering recovery from substance use disorders
- Provide an overview of professional responsibilities in providing medication assisted treatment
- Develop a connection with other professionals working in the medication assisted treatment community
This course provides 6 CEU’s for all who complete the course. CEU’s are provided pursuant to Indiana Administrative Code 839IAC 1-6-2(F)(86).
This training is required for the ICAADA MATS credential, however a person can attend and not obtain the credential. Credentialing cost, including exam, certification fee, and ICAADA membership ARE NOT included in this cost.
Registration information provided as part of this course may be used by MHAI for various purposes, including reporting to state agencies and other accreditation and/or funding sources.
