Abby Dennis
PhD Candidate, Purdue University

Abby graduated with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s in exercise and sport science and psychology. She has continued her studies as a doctoral student in sport psychology at Purdue University. Abby’s personal background in collegiate and professional dance has brought forth struggles with her own mental health and has demonstrated the prevalence of psychological concerns in the sporting environment that, oftentimes, are not addressed. Her goal is to make the conversation surrounding mental health as loud as possible and to remove any stigma or shame associated with the subject.
